Singapore is a tiny country where the official narrative has dominated for too long. It's portrayed as wealthy, developed and successful in the international media, and while that's largely true, there's plenty more going on this island. Civil society groups are slowly but surely growing, and Singaporeans are once again finding their voice in a climate that isn't always welcoming of a diversity of views.
